Engineers registered with OFTEC who have successfully completed the relevant OFTEC assessment / training can self-certificate, removing the need to involve building control. OFTEC membership is therefore very cost effective for those intending to work on oil. Not only do we offer OFTEC courses but if you use our services we can also discount OFTEC company membership by £200.
Support Material
We supply OFTEC reference material for use during and after the assessment.
These books are essential to the courses and customers can use them for reference during the assessment. Although most candidates will not be registered at the time, we sell these publications at OFTEC Registered Technician prices. We can also advise you on which books will be relevant for your individual needs.
OFT 105E
A theory-only course with assessment, held in one of our training rooms, this covers appliance installation including fuel conservation. The course is based on OFTEC books 1, 3 and 4 as well as the domestic heating design guide.
OFT 101
A theory and practical course with assessment, this covers the servicing, fault finding and commissioning of domestic pressure jet appliances. The course and assessment is based on OFTEC technical books 1, 2, 3 and 4.
OFT 102
A theory and practical course with assessment, this covers the servicing, fault finding and commissioning of domestic vaporising appliances. The course and assessment is based on OFTEC technical books 1, 3, 4 and 5.
OFT 600A
A theory-only course with assessment, this covers advanced domestic, commercial and industrial tank installation. The course is based on OFTEC technical books 1 and 3.
